I'm Dr. Richard Dang, a dual-degree, board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. I care for patients and partner with referring dental practices across California — bringing surgical expertise together with a gentle, reassuring approach.
For many people, hearing they need oral surgery is stressful. My job is to make it the opposite — clear, comfortable, and reassuring. I take the time to explain what's happening in plain language, answer every question, and make sure each patient feels genuinely cared for from the first visit through the last day of recovery.
I'm a dual-degree oral and maxillofacial surgeon. I earned my dental degree at NYU College of Dentistry and my medical degree at Boston University, then completed a one-year general surgery internship at Boston Medical Center followed by my residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Boston Medical Center / Boston University. I'm board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Outside the office, you'll usually find me on the golf course, in the workshop doing woodworking and house projects, or — most of all — spending time with my wife and our two young kids. I believe great care starts with listening, patience, and a calm chairside manner that puts even the most anxious patients at ease.
